How much space do I need?
We recommend you have an additional 3 feet of space as a "safety buffer" around the outside of the trampoline.
How long does it take to assemble?
The Explorer takes about 1 – 2 hours to install.
Can I set it up myself, or do I need help with assembly?
It is definitely possible to install the trampoline yourself, though it definitely speeds up the process if you have two people.
Can I order parts for my SkyBound trampoline?
SkyBound model trampoline parts are only available to purchase over the phone with our support agents, please call us at: 888-891-4689 to expedite your order.
Can you use it indoors and outdoors?
As long as ample space is provided above and around the trampoline, the trampoline can be used indoors though we do not recommend using the trampoline above hard surfaces such as concrete.
Should the trampoline be anchored to the ground?
The strongest winds will blow away any trampoline, no matter how anchored your trampoline is. If you live in high wind areas, try to secure your trampoline to the ground as best as possible to prevent having to replace frame and other parts in the future.
Should it be stored during winter months?
There are a few things you can do to protect your trampoline whether you’re storing it away until summer or plan on using it all year long
If you’re not using your trampoline in the winter, store it away in a dry place. For maximum protection, purchase a cover. In bad weather, it is recommended that you put away your trampoline whenever there are harsh weather conditions to avoid any weather-related damages. A covered trampoline can remain outdoors throughout the winter and will protect it from dirt, debris and harsh weather conditions. You can also remove the mat and springs and store them indoors for the winter. Most frames can be left outdoors all winter. If you go this route, make sure that you store your springs in a dry place and oil them before reattaching the mat in the spring. You may also want to invest in an anchor kit, to prevent your trampoline from going airborne during a storm or in windy weather.
If you are using your trampoline in the winter, use a soft bristle brush or broom to remove snow, leaves, and debris. Never use a shovel to remove debris or snow as it can rip or damage the mat/netting. You can also remove the padding when not in use. If you live in an area that’s prone to high winds, make sure that your trampoline is anchored down or stored away during the harsh winter months.
Is the trampoline hard to move once assembled?
OUr trampolines are made of thick heavy materials so it will last you a long time. This means the trampolines can easily weigh over 350lbs after assembly making it difficult to move, although it is possible with 3-4 able bodied people.
Can you attach a ladder?
Yes, our standard trampoline ladder will fit teh round and oval Explorers but the rectangle Explorer requires our taller ladder.
Can I use my trampoline on concrete?
It is highly recommended that you do not use your trampoline on concrete or hard surfaces, as this greatly increases the possibility of injury.
Can I still have a trampoline if my section is sloping?
Surfaces should be even. Make adjustments to your soil if needed, including the space underneath the jumping surface area to prevent "bottoming out."
Is a spring pull tool included?
Yes! When your trampoline arrives, it’s ready for you to set up.
Will the springs rust?
Yes, eventually all trampoline springs will rust no matter the quality.
What does the warranty cover?
The warrany covers any defects in manufacturing. Defects can sometimes show themselves right away, or can take years to develop. Either way, SkyBound stands by its product warranties and reviews each on a case by case basis with a 24-48 hour approval process.
